Spoznajte a správne vyberte nástroje pre agilný vývoj

Pojmy ako SCRUM či AGILE sa v dnešnej dobe začlenili do slovníka takmer každého, kto prichádza do kontaktu s IT vývojom. Stali sa totiž modernými, človek pri nich spozornie. Niekedy sa im prepožičiava mystická moc, stačí totiž napríklad povedať, že robíme SCRUM a hneď na papieri vyzerá všetko lepšie. Z ich rastúcou popularitou sa objavujú rôzne nástroje, ktoré nám podľa ich tvorcov ešte viac zjednodušia život, ešte viac zefektívnia naše procesy. Avšak tak ako sa dá nesprávne praktizovať metodológia, ako tím môže byť viac utáraný ako agilný, tak je možné sa zamotať v spleti vylepšení, ktoré nám tieto nástroje poskytujú. Ako to teda je?

V reštaurácii U Sokola sme po prvý krát privítali aj zahraničného prednášajúceho - z Českej republiky. Michal Vallo z Aguarra predstavil techniku TRIZ a jej význam pre vývoj produktov. Ďalej ukázal TRIZ proces a techniky používané v jednotlivých procesných krokoch. Na túto ukážku nadviazal Radek Sedláček z ANF Data v Brne, ktorý formou workshopu demonštroval využitie techniky Root Conflict Analysis (RCA+) pre identifikáciu hlavných protikladov a následný spôsob riešenia s využitím matice protikladov a techniky 40 princípov objavovania.

The Coach is the Key, not the Answer

I’ve been working in the IT business over four years, long enough to have met many people telling me what to do… all kinds of different Project Managers, Team Leaders, Vice Presidents, you name it. They were telling me not only what to do, but also how to do it. So I naturally gravitated to that approach as I advanced into lead positions myself. Participating in Agile Coaching Master Class training opened my eyes and helped me to realize that a correct approach in talking to people can actually solve situations more easily than just yelling out orders, which is what I was doing. I was thinking that if we use my solution, it would be the best in the world. Well, now I know I was wrong.

There are four behaviors (for sure out of many) that can easily destroy or save a project. Many scientific researches have been done on these dysfunctional behaviors and many new frameworks have been presented by gurus in management to deal with these dysfunctional behaviors, but still 99% of employees from top to bottom waste productivity and resources because of these behaviors. Aguarra Agile Cards - the story of Wow!

Common and frequent activity for many agile techniques is estimation, for which many development teams use planning cards. I also use planning cards. While using them I have noticed several issues which occasionally drive me crazy. Many brands are somehow unsuitable for daily work. Some get dirty too quickly, it is awful. Dealing out cards to players can also get frustrating while attempt to split deck into four sets. Some can’t be hold in one hand (my preferred way) as I can’t read values then. Many looks so ordinary and boring with just numbers printed on piece of paper, another are designer disaster. Simply nothing that would worth mentioning, especially when one have to work with them every day......
